This coincides with a global trend in which more people than ever are crumbling under the weight of hopelessness, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. South Africa has not been unaffected, with a recent study ranking South Africa’s Mental Health as the 2nd worst in the world. The knock-on effects of this are enormous, with 60% of the South African workforce reported to be disengaged at an estimated cost of R161 Billion per year to local businesses.
